If you are reading this then you are not here by mistake; you may have been referred by a friend in the program or maybe by the courts; perhaps even by a loved one; maybe you found us on the internet but no matter how you got here you are in the right place.
You might be wondering if you are really an alcoholoic or addict; perhaps you feel like the officer was just trying to make his/her quota for the day and you were their target. There are many reasons you may have for needing to get into a twelve step program but if you are really honest with yourself you probably can't stop drinking on your own; if you could have you would have.
We have found that we couldn't stop by ourselves and that we needed a Power greater than ourselves to relieve us of the insanity of drink and/or drug. We started on a journey towards freedom from the obsession to drink and/or drug through the fellowship of being with other alcoholics and addicts who have found the solution to their drinking and/or drug prioblems by getting into a progrm of action.
And still others of us have found that the Power greater than ourselves is more than the group conscience, a door knob, or some other human or man made thing; we have found a life worth living in Jesus Christ and in His Power to set the captives free.
This program is a simple program but it only works if you work it; like anything worth investing your time, effort, energy, and heart into, there will be great rewards and benefits that will enter into your life if you honestly work this program. The "HOW" of this program is
Honesty, Open-mindedness, and Willingness
We use the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous as a program of recovery but we rely on the Word of God as our primary source of direction and guidance. We are willing to go to any lengths to get and stay clean and sober because we know that to drink or use again, for most if not all of us, would most likely mean certain death; we were alcoholics/addicts of the hopeless variety.
We found that there is not only hope in Jesus but freedom in His saving and delivering Power; we finally understood that who the Son has set free is free indeed! We pray that you will find this site informative and helpful. If you live in the North County San Diego area and are able to attend either our Monday night meeting; our Wednesday night meeting; or our Sunday afternoon meeting we would love to get to know you personally. We are here for you.
